Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. She is the sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fighting sports career with a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a the unanimous vote. Antonina was able to follow it up, and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008, and then a gold in the year 2011 and the title of year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she was the winner of an event called the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. It was an unanimous decision to win. Antonina Shevchenko shattered her first professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won by TKO during the 2nd round. She she went on to win her 2 next fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. It gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a majority decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used her superior punching abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. After this win, Antonina signed a UFC contract. Antonina received the UFC contract after winning. Shevchenko defeated Kim through a unanimous win, however she fell in her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in the following three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was lastly defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
